Dr.Sc. (Tech.) Matti Muhos is the Professor of Growth Management, Renewing Business and Digitalization and the Director of the University of Oulu Kerttu Saalasti Institute. The institute provides societally impactful research, know-how and solutions from the perspectives of Micro-Entrepreneurship, Regional Excellence and Future Manufacturing Technologies. The purpose of the University of Oulu Kerttu Saalasti Institute is to strengthen a sustainably developing society within our fields of expertise. Our national task, appointed by the Ministry of Education and Culture, is micro-entrepreneurship research and education.
Muhos holds the title of Docent in Technology Business, with a special focus on innovative starting and growing business in the IT industry, at the University of Jyväskylä. His research is focused e.g. on growth management, industrial engineering and management, technology business, international business, and entrepreneurship. He participates in the editorial processes of several international journals as an associate editor, editorial board member, quest editor and advisory board member. Muhos received his doctorate in Industrial Engineering and Management from the University of Oulu.
